Volkswagen Asks Fans to Design New Concept Car

Volkswagen has launched an international design contest asking fans to create a new concept for a video game. The contest is already underway and the Volkswagen Group wants college students to create an exciting new model that has Volkswagen styling cues.

The participants are will be given the freedom to work individually or in a two-member team to design the new car. The company has said that the focus should be on any or all of the following aspects of design: exterior, interior, interface, graphics and/or colour & trim.

The contest closes on August 15th and the designs submitted by the participants will be judged by a panel of experts from Volkswagen's design department. The evaluation will be on the design execution, innovation and implementation.

The winners will be announced on September 30th and the top three designers will be invited to partake in a six-month internship at the Volkswagen design department in Wolfsburg, Germany.
