Mercedes-Benz India today announced its line-up for the upcoming 14th edition of the much awaited Indian Auto Expo 2018. The carmaker has announced that it will be showcasing a host of new models and concepts at the auto show, like the new E-Class All Terrain estate wagon and Concept EQ, among others. However, the highlight of the event at Mercedes-Benz's booth will be the launch of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift and the Maybach S 650. In fact, we were the first ones to tell you that the cars will be launched at the Auto Expo, and now we have an official announcement from the carmaker as well.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift To Be Launched In India at the Auto Expo 2018
Now, we have already told you a lot about the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class facelift considering that we've driven it. Having said that, it is at the Auto Expo where we'll find out what all features make their way into the car, from the plethora of offerings that that carmaker offers with the global-spec model. The new S-Class in India will have a range of new inline 6-cylinder petrol and diesel engines along with a range-topping twin-turbo V8. The S-Class will also be available with the more powerful AMG options in the sedan, convertible and coupe formats along with the long wheelbase Maybach, which we now know will be the Maybach S 650. The company's flagship model is produced at the Chakan facility in Pune which is the only plant outside of Europe that produces the S-Class.

Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ was first showcased at the 2016 Paris Motor Show
The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQ, on the other hand, is the automaker's vision for the future of electric mobility. The concept car made its global debut last year at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, as part of the company electric sub-brand EQ. This electric car concept offers a power output of 400 bhp and a driving range of up to 500 km on a single charge. The lithium-ion battery pack is mounted between the axles and has been designed by Daimler themselves. Despite its sheer size, Mercedes had mentioned that the concept is capable of sprinting from 0-100 kmph in under 5 seconds.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain
At the Auto Expo, the carmaker will also showcase one of its upcoming 2018 models for the Indian market - all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain estate wagon, a first-of-its-kind from Mercedes-Benz India. Essentially a rival to the Volvo V90 Cross Country, the new E-Class All Terrain combines the comfort of an Estate and the abilities of an SUV thanks to the generous ground clearance, SUV like large wheels and 4MATIC all-wheel drive, all of which comes as a standard offering.
Talking about the company's Auto Expo line-up, Roland Folger, Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India commented "The Mercedes-Maybach S 650, the E-Class All-Terrain and the Concept EQ represents these attributes effortlessly and will present the most overwhelming product offensive from Mercedes-Benz for the Indian market. The Mercedes-Benz S 650 will debut at the motor show and will kick-off our product offensive towards sustained leadership in the Indian market for 2018."

Mercedes-AMG GT R will also be at the stands among the carmaker's AMG models
In addition to these showstoppers, Mercedes-Benz India will also be showcasing the array of other models like the new E 350 d, C 250 d Edition C, and the C-Class Cabriolet. From the company's SUV line-up the 2018 Auto Expo will see three of the carmaker's latest offering - GLA 220 d 4MATIC, GLC 220 d, GLS 350 d. The carmaker's performance hand, Mercedes-AMG, will also bring a fair share of cars to the Auto Expo like the new AMG GT R, AMG GLC 43 Coupe and AMG SLC 43, in addition to the exclusive showcase of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team car.
