Indian Motorcycle has completed 120 years in existence, and to mark the anniversary, the American motorcycle brand is releasing a new ultra-premium, limited-edition model, the 2021 Indian Chieftain Elite. The limited edition model will mark the unique milestone of the motorcycle brand. With 120 years of history, Indian Motorcycle boasts of being the first motorcycle company in America, with it being founded in 1901, two years before Harley-Davidson was founded. To celebrate the 120th anniversary, only 120 motorcycles of the Indian Chieftain Elite will be made.

The Chieftain Elite is powered by the Thunderstroke 116 engine, with 1,890 cc displacement, which makes 170 Nm
The Chieftain Elite will be powered by the company's most powerful air-cooled Thunderstroke 116 engine, a 1,890 cc mill which comes with rear cylinder deactivation, and delivers 170 Nm of peak torque via a six-speed transmission. The Chieftain Elite also comes with three ride modes, Tour, Standard, and Sport. The Chieftain Elite also comes The Indian Chieftain Elite is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with ABS, and key-less ignition. Suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by 46mm telescopic forks and a mono-shock at the rear.

Only 120 motorcycles of the limited edition model will be made
The Chieftain Elite packs a 7-inch infotainment panel, with connected features like Apple CarPlay. The bike has a dual-tone Thunder Black Vivid Crystal and Carbon Crysal paintwork, coupled with a Slate Smoke finish and color-matched badging. A streamlined fairing and slammed saddlebags with sharp lines and hard edges also feature on the Chieftain Elite. As standard, the Chieftain Elite comes with full Pathfinder LED lighting, an integrated 400-watt PowerBand audio system, a tinted flare windshield (with push-button power), aluminum select floorboards, keyless ignition, ABS and tire pressure monitoring. So far, there's no word on if the limited edition model will be offered on sale in India.
