The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno in the video is the top-spec Alpha variant wrapped in its signature exterior colour scheme, Nexa Blue. The exterior of the 2022 Baleno is completely displayed and retains much of the silhouette from the current version. Although, the redesigned front bumper and the revised wheel arches indicate its sleek proportions, however, the measurements remain the same as before. The wider but horizontal grille receives chrome garnish that extends to the angular-looking LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The shoulder line is revised in the 2022 model, as the Baleno now looks much sharper than before. The door-mounted rear-view mirrors with integrated turn indicators and chrome door handles are retained from before.

However, the previous 16-inch alloy wheels are similar here, with a notable design change. The rear section of the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is sleeker than before with a sharper set of tail lamps, that are tweaked to give an L-shaped design. The roof-mounted spoiler and chrome garnish across the boot lid was also found on the older model. The other element that is revised here is the rear bumper.
Now, the interior of the 2022 Baleno is not clear in this video, however, another video doing the rounds shows a functioning new HUD unit, that pops out in view of the driver. Also new inside the cabin is a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro Plus infotainment system, replacing the previous 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system. It is also expected to get connected car features along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Maruti's in-built navigation system. Along with a new sound system with ARKAMAYS tuning, the 2022 Baleno also receives a segment-first 360-degree camera system.

Mechanically, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will retain the tried & tested 1.2-litre VVT motor and a 1.2-litre Dualjet, Dual VVT engine. Although the power inputs are to remain unchanged, expect Maruti to introduce a new 6-speed torque converter, instead of the CVT unit. A 5-speed manual gearbox comes as standard in both variants.
