Kawasaki  India has introduced the 2024 Z900 RS in India, priced at Rs 16.80 lakh. The bike's appearance draws inspiration from the classic retro style, paying homage to the design elements of the Z1 model. Additionally, it maintains some design features from the previous version. The 2024 variant comes in a single Metallic Diablo Black paint theme.

As mentioned previously, the Z900RS's design is reminiscent to the legendary 1972 Kawasaki Z1. It boasts a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a round-shaped headlight, a tail cowl and LED taillight, and a multifunctional LCD screen alongside traditional-style speedometer and tachometer dials. The bike features a single-piece saddle, a side-slung exhaust, and flat spoke-style cast wheels on both. Furthermore, it gets dual-channel ABS, Kawasaki Traction Control, and an assist slipper clutch.

The mechanical specifications of the Z900 RS retain its Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, In-Line Four 948 cc engine, capable of producing 110 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 98.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and is now compliant with government-set emission standards. Its braking system consists of dual semi-floating 300-mm front discs and a 250-mm single rear disc. Suspension-wise, the bike is equipped with upside-down forks in the front and a mono-shock in the rear. The saddle stands at a height of 835 mm, and the bike weighs 215 kg.
