7 Maruti Suzuki Cars, Including Vitara Brezza, Among Top 10 PVs in May

- Maruti's entry-level hatchback Alto continued to top the charts
- Toyota's Innova Crysta came in ninth
- Vitara Brezza took the last spot in the list
Though in May, 2015, only 4 Maruti Suzuki cars found their names in the top 10 best-selling list, this year there were six. In May, 2016, the automaker's Dzire sub-compact sedan moved up to the second spot, followed by the WagonR, and Swift.
Next on the list was Hyundai. The Grand i10 came in fifth with 12,055 units, while Elite i20, its premium hatchback, took the sixth spot with sales of 10,472 units in May. Maruti Suzuki Baleno took number seven with 10,004 units, nearly missing the i20. Number eight was the Celerio entry-level hatchback with 7,379 units.
Another new addition to the list, other than the Vitara Brezza, was the Toyota Innova Crysta at number nine. Toyota retailed 7,259 units of the Innova Crysta in May, and sold 7,500 units of the MPV in June, 2016. It may be interesting to note that the second generation model of the popular MPV, has already racked up to 30,000 orders since its launch in May, 2016.

Finally, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza rounded-off the list. The sub-compact SUV was launched here only in March, 2016 and sold 5,563 units within a month. Unlike last year, names such as the Mahindra Bolero, Honda City, and Hyundai Eon failed to make it to the top ten passenger vehicle list in May.
