Ampere Electric Expands India Footprint With Over 500 Touch Points

- Ampere Electric announces rapid expansion in dealerships
- Ampere Electric offers electric two-wheelers and electric three-wheelers
- The company has more than 350 electric two-wheeler dealerships
Ampere Electric, a wholly owned mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Ltd., has established more than 500 customer touch points across the country. Currently, Ampere Electric offers 350 dealerships in electric two-wheelers and 165 dealerships from ELE e-rickshaw segment, which the company attributes to fast growing customer base in both retail, institutional and fleet usage of its electric vehicles. According to the company, Ampere Electric has seen significant pulls from customers in both lifestyle segment with electric two-wheelers and livelihood segments with electric three-wheelers.

Speaking on the development, Roy Kurian, COO, E-Mobility Business (2 & 3-Wheeler), Ampere Electric, said, "With expanding footprint, superior online and offline customer experience, host of financing tie-ups, and customer friendly schemes, we are happily building strong assurance and peace of mind amongst the e-scooter buyers, B2B buyers and channel investors across the nation. We will continue to design and deliver complete lifecycle support for our stakeholders."

According to a company statement, Ampere electric scooters have become more affordable due to various state subisidies after the FAME-II amendments, and come with attractive low-cost customised financing options. These scooters come with long distance per charge, lightweight portable lithium-ion batteries, superior ride comfort, low running costs and a host of additional advanced features. Ampere Electric currently has a strong customer base of 75,000 customers and growing backed by a comprehensive EV ecosystem support from Greaves. The company says it's the fastest growing brand in India in the electric two-wheeler segment with presence in both B2C and B2B segments.
