In January this year, Ducati had reported the best-ever sales performance in 2021, and now, the Bologna-based Italian motorcycle brand has reported record revenue and operating profits for 2021. Ducati has reported revenue of 878 million Euros in 2021, recording a growth of 30 per cent over 676 million Euros recorded in 2020, and 23 per cent growth over 2019, when it reported overall revenue of 716 million Euros. Operating profit reached 61 million Euros in 2021, which is a whopping 154 per cent growth over 2020, with 24 million Euros, and 18 per cent growth over 2019, with 52 million Euros. For 2022, Ducati has updated the semi-active suspension of the Multistrada V4 with the introduction of the Minimum Preload system, as well as infotainment system updates. And the good news is these updates will be free of charge to customers who already own the Multistrada V4 S.
The latest revenue and profit results are on top of the record 59,447 motorcycles Ducati delivered to customers around the world in 2021, achieving a sales increase of 24 per cent over 2020 when the brand sold 48,042 bikes, and 12 per cent over 2019, when the brand had delivered 53,183 motorcycles. According to Ducati, all these results were achieved despite the difficulties faced in the supply crisis and components shortage, on which Ducati is continuously working also with the support of the VW Group.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO, Ducati attributes the achievements of 2021 to "team effort" that has involved every single employee working at Ducati.
Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO, said, "It is difficult to comment on the economic results without taking into account the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. I really hope that the hostilities will come to an end as soon as possible, with a cessation of violence and a return to diplomacy to resolve disputes. We come from an already particularly complex year, during which, like all players in the production industry, we have faced difficulties related to the ongoing supply crisis. However, thanks to great flexibility and constant dialogue with our partners and the trade union, at Ducati we were able to satisfy a record number of passionate customers, while also achieving excellent numbers on financial performance. These achievements are the outcome of a team effort that has involved every single employee working at Ducati in Borgo Panigale, in the subsidiaries and in the dealerships all over the world, as well as a select group of high quality suppliers. I want to thank all of them for their passion and commitment, as well as all the Ducatisti who have put their trust in us by choosing our bikes."
