Geneva 2018: Porsche 911 GT3 RS Unveiled

- The 911 GT3 RS gets a 4-litre flat-six engine
- The top-speed is 312 kmph and the 0-100 kmph sprint takes 3.2 seconds
- Porsche will launch the GT3 RS in Europe in the April 2018
Along with the Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo, Porsche also showcased the mental 911 GT3 RS at the ongoing 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Mental we say because the 911 GT3 RS gets a four-litre petrol engine which like all Porsches, is naturally aspirated. It makes a total of 520 bhp, which is 20 bhp more than the 911 GT3. It can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.2 seconds. The top speed of the GT3 RS is 312 kmph. This is the third GT model that Porsche has unveiled in the last few months, the others being the Porsche 911 GT3 and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Interestingly, Porsche has revealed the fuel efficiency of the GT3 RS to be 7.81 kmpl.
(Porsche 911 GT3 RS at Geneva Motor Show 2018)Porsche has also tried cutting down on the weight, using carbon-fibre bucket seats, lightweight door panels, reduced insolation and a lightweight rear lid. Porsche will also be offering the 911 GT3 RS with Clubsport package at no extra cost. This includes a roll-over bar, a manual fire extinguisher, preparation for battery disconnect and six-point seatbelts as well. In case you further want to enhance the driving experience, you can specify your 911 GT3 RS with magnesium alloy wheels and carbon-fibre bits inside, outside and in the chassis with the Weissach package.

The car gets 20-inch alloys with 265/35 sport tyres upfront and 21-inch 325/30 tyres at the rear. Porsche has already started taking orders for the 911 GT3 RS and it says that the pricing and other details will be available in mid-April 2018.
