Harley-Davidson Launches Second Dealership In Delhi

- Harley-Davidson's 2nd dealership in Delhi is located in Mayapuri
- This is the 25th Harley-Davidson dealership in India
- The dealership will have official Harley-Davidson merchandise as well
Harley-Davidson India has launched its second dealership in New Delhi, with Red Fort Harley-Davidson. The new dealership, the 25th Harley-Davidson dealership in India, is spread over 21,000 square feet in West Delhi's Mayapuri locality. With an exclusive lounge for H.O.G. (Harley Owners' Group) members, a rooftop café, a ride in café, gaming zone, DJ lounge, lockers and showers, Red Fort Harley-Davidson has been designed to deliver personal personalised experiences to Harley owners.
(New Harley-Davidson Showroom, Delhi)"Ever since my childhood days, I have been an ardent fan of Harley-Davidson. Launching Launching Red Fort Harley-Davidson is a dream come true which has now made me a part of the Harley family. Being an avid rider and a passionate follower of the Harley lifestyle and culture, I have closely participated in designing the dealership as I wanted to share my experiences and bring alive the practices that every rider would want to enjoy. I hope that the dealership will help riders not feel contained in daily routine and help them enjoy the bohemian feel of the highway," said Gaurav Gulati, Dealer Principal, Red Fort Harley-Davidson.
(New Harley-Davidson Showroom, Delhi)The newest Harley-Davidson dealership will offer all 13 models in the Harley-Davidson India line-up, in addition to a wide range of parts and accessories to customize motorcycles and authentic Harley-Davidson merchandise. Over the past year, Harley-Davidson has opened dealerships and merchandise stores in various cities including Coimbatore, Ludhiana, Mumbai Airport and Guwahati.
Harley-Davidson India, with 25 dealerships across India, has the largest sales and service network among the premium superbike brands in India. In terms of sales too, Harley-Davidson is the leading manufacturer of premium motorcycles, selling over 2400 bikes in the April to October, 2016 period, led largely by its popular and least expensive model, the Harley-Davidson Street 750. With an owner- and rider-focussed marketing push, Harley-Davidson also has a first mover advantage in India, and is the market leader.
In comparison, Harley-Davidson's closest competitor in India, Triumph Motorcycles has 14 dealerships across India, recently opening its second dealership in the national capital. Triumph estimates sales of close to 1500 units in FY 2016-17, and expects to rapidly increase sales, particularly in the Rs 5 lakh and above market, which the company operates in, with its models. Harley-Davidson though is still well-entrenched in the market leader's position. For 2017, Harley-Davidson has upgraded its entire touring range with the new Milwaukee-Eight engine and all H-D models now come with standard ABS. In the next few years, it will also depend on what product strategy Harley-Davidson employs to keep more riders coming into the H.O.G. fold.
