Honda Jazz
Launched in July 2015, the new Honda Jazz came with betting design, improved styling, a new diesel engine and most importantly an automatic version with a CVT unit. Like seen in other model that are offering automatic transmission, the new Honda Jazz CVT variant accounted for almost 25% of the total Jazz sales in the market. In fact many times, the monthly sales reports have shown the Jazz to be the second bestselling Honda car in India after the City. While the numbers aren't as impressive as competition, but for Honda this is a big deal, considering the previous Jazz never appealed to the Indian market. Talking about numbers, the Jazz registered sales of 47,335 units from July 2015 to June 2016 and is among.
Coming to the car itself, as mentioned before, the third generation Honda Jazz came both in petrol and diesel trims, unlike its predecessor. The diesel variant of the car was mated to Honda's tried and tested 1.5-litre DTEC oil burner that was specially built for the Indian market and does duty on Honda's other cars like, City and Amaze as well. The petrol version on the other hand comes with the same 1.2-litre i-VTEC that has been carried forward from the old model and also the one that features the CVT unit.
