The Hyundai Venue was launched exactly a month ago and since then, Hyundai has received a whopping 33,000 bookings for the Venue in India along with 2 lakh enquiries. The company delivered 1,000 units of the Venue today to customers across India. The Venue is Hyundai's first model in the subcompact SUV segment and the company is very clear! That it wants to establish its dominance in the subcompact SUV market, which is currently dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The Hyundai Venue comes with two petrol engines, and its more modern, turbocharged 1.0 GDI has the maximum demand. The only automatic in the mix is the new DCT or dual-clutch transmission, and it accounts for almost 35 per cent of all bookings. It also gets an in-built eSIM card, powered by Idea-Vodafone and Hyundai will provide free data to the owners up to the warranty period of the car after which the SIM can be recharged with regular data packs. Other segment-first comfort features include a sunroof, wireless charging, air purifier, 8.4-inch HD display screen, eco-coating, Arkamys sound system and wheel air curtains.
