Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition Teased For India, Launch Soon

India Kawasaki Motor has dropped the teaser for the Z650RS 50th -Anniversary Edition on its social media handles. The Kawasaki Z650RS was launched in India last year and the model is the retro-styled version of the Z650 naked. As the name suggests, the 50th Anniversary Edition version commemorates the 50th anniversary of the iconic Kawasaki Z1, which forms the basis of the new 'Z' RS range from the Japanese manufacturer. The Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition will arrive with cosmetic upgrades and will arrive in the country just days after its global debut.

The Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition gets the 'Firecracker Red' dual-tone paint scheme
The Kawasaki Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition will get the new 'Firecracker Red' dual-tone paint scheme bringing bold red and black colours to the bike. The colours are complemented by gold-finished alloy wheels and 70's style DOHC side panel badges. Do note that the Emerald Green shade already comes with gold-finished alloy wheels on the standard version. This would be the third paint scheme on the Z650RS apart from Metallic Moonlight Gray. The Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition though will be available in limited numbers.
On the mechanical side, the Z650RS 50th Anniversary Edition will continue with the same specifications. This includes the 649 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine tuned to produce 67.3 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of peak torque at 6,700 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The standard Kawasaki Z650RS is priced at Rs. 6.72 lakh (ex-showroom), but you can expect the 50th Anniversary Edition to be priced at a marginal premium. Expect the new version to arrive by the end of this month or by early February 2022.
