India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2022 Z650RS priced at Rs. 6.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS arrives in the country just weeks after its global debut and the retro-styled motorcycle will be offered in two colour options - Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moondust Gray. The new 650 cc Kawasaki is based on the Z650 naked motorcycle but gets a retro design language on the same lines as the Kawasaki Z900RS. The bike arrives at a delectable price that makes it more affordable than the Triumph Trident 660.

The Kawasaki Z650RS borrows the retro design from the iconic Z1 sporting the round LED headlamp, squarish fuel tank, twin-pod instrumentation and more
The new Z650RS takes its inspiration from the iconic Kawasaki Z1. The neo-retro design theme brings a round LED headlamp, new multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a twin-pod analogue instrument console with a digital readout. The slim pinstripe fuel tank further bolsters the retro styling, while the long single seat should keep things comfortable for the rider and pillion.

The 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS uses the familiar 649 cc parallel-twin motor that powers the brand's 650 lineup
Power on the new Kawasaki Z650RS comes from the familiar 649 cc twin-cylinder motor that's also seen on the Z650. Power figures are identical with 67 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm. The trellis frame remains the same and so does the suspension set-up with 41 mm telescopic front forks and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking performance comes from 300 mm discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

Deliveries for the 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS will begin from the end of November in India
Compared to the Z650, the 2022 Kawasaki Z650RS is about Rs. 41,000 more expensive for the retro design. Bookings for the motorcycle are now open across 29 of Kawasaki's dealerships pan India. The company says it will begin deliveries of the motorcycle from either the last week of November or by early December this year.
It needs to be noted that the Z650RS arrives earlier than originally anticipated and it just goes on to show how much the market loves retro motorcycles.
