Lazante to Introduce Road-Legal Incarnation of the Savage McLaren P1 GTR

- It will be the quickest, rarest, and also last of the P1 variants
- The P1 LM will preserve the P1 GTR's 986bhp output
- Only five examples of the McLaren P1 LM will be produced
The British outfit is now ready to introduce a road-legal incarnation of the P1 GTR - the P1 LM. The hypercar will be the quickest, rarest, and also last of the P1 variants. Lazante has readied an experimental prototype that will make an appearance at Goodwood's Hill in Class 25 for Modern GT Racers with McLaren test driver, Kenny Brack, behind the wheel.

The biggest change is to the engine hardware producing additional boost and hybrid power that will allow to preserve the P1 GTR's 986bhp while still using 99-octane fuel and at higher temperatures. Up next on the list of changes is the engine bay with gold plated heat shielding - much like the McLaren F1. The catalytic convertor pipes and exhaust headers are now made using 'super-alloy' Inconel that saved 4.5Kg.
Though the Mclaren P1 LM largely borrows the P1 GTR's aerodynamics and styling, it features a modified rear wing, and larger front splitter and dive planes, which, together, result increase downforce by 40 per cent.

A total of five examples of the McLaren P1 LM will be produced: one in dark grey like the prototype, the other four in orange. Deliveries are expected to begin in January, 2017.
