The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has been launched in India with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs. 3.99 lakh for the base trim and going up to Rs. 5.83 lakh for the range-topping variant. The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has seen a significant upgrade in its design, interiors, creature comforts and powertrain options and the company has been receiving 200 pre-bookings for the hatchback ever since it began accepting pre-bookings on August 14. - The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is underpinned by Maruti's modular Heartect platform and is offered in six colour options.
- The Maruti Suzuki Alto k10 looks bolder sporting a wider and taller mesh grille upfront while the bumper looks tad sharper, giving it a more chiselled front end. It looks more angular than before with a prominent haunch at the rear section of the car, identical to what we saw on the new Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
- A more sculpted tailgate as compared to the flat and upright unit from the current model, and a larger glasshouse are a few of the new design changes you will notice instantly.
- Maruti Suzuki is also offering two personalisation options on the Alto K10- Impacto and Glinto.
- On the inside, the new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has received a massive overhaul in terms of the design and tech. You get to see a redesigned dashboard, instrument cluster, and steering wheel.
- The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 now features the 7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system offering navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
- Other features include steering mounted audio controls, electrically adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) and keyless entry among others.
- As far as powertrain is concerned, Maruti Suzuki is offering the Alto K10 with the tried & tested 1.0-litre, three-cylinder K-Series engine belting out 67 bhp at 5500 rpm and 89 Nm of peak torque at 3500 rpm.
- The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard while the company is also offering the AGS or AMT unit with the new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10.
- The manual iterations Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 delivers a claimed fuel economy of 24.39 kmpl while the AGS delivers a slightly better fuel economy of 24.90 kmpl.
- The new Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 takes on the likes of the Renault Kwid in the Indian market while also goes up against its siblings, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and Celerio.
