Maruti Suzuki Delivers 45,000 Units On Dhanteras

- Maruti Suzuki is offering benefits of up to Rs. 2 lakh on some models.
- It has received 21,000 bookings for the Baleno during the festive season.
- Alto, WagonR, Swift, Dzire and Baleno were bestsellers on Dhanteras.
Festive season was the only silver lining automakers had to speed up sales amidst the prolonged slowdown and automakers have been rendering attractive offers in a bid to attract more buyers. Well! The tried and tested formula seemed to have worked even this festive season with several automakers posting record sales numbers. India's largest carmaker- Maruti Suzuki has delivered as many as 45,000 units on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras which is one of the most preferred days during festive season to make any big purchase.

Models like the Alto, WagonR, Swift, Baleno and Dzire were the front runners this festive season. The Baleno alone has bagged 21,000 bookings during the festive season period and the company is expecting a growth of 17 per cent to 20 per cent. Maruti has been offering benefits of up to Rs. 2 lakhs on popular models like the Vitara Brezza. Modles like the Alto 800 and Alto K10 come with benefits up to Rs. 65,000 each, while the Swift petrol and Swift diesel get discounts up to Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 77,700, respectively. Likewise, the Dzire petrol and Dzire diesel get discounts up to Rs. 55,000 and Rs. 84,100 respectively. The company had also announced offers on the Celerio, Eeco 7 seater and Eeco 5 seater, with discounts going up to Rs. 65,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 40,000 respectively. The company is also offering Rs. 50,000 benefits on the Ignis, Rs. 30,000 benefits on Baleno petrol, Rs. 35,000 benefits on Baleno diesel, Rs. 55,000 on the Ciaz, and Rs. 80,000 on the S-Cross. Moreover, Maruti is also offering 5 years warranty on all diesel models like Swift, Vitara Brezza, Dzire, Baleno, S-Cross, and Ciaz.

Discounts have also helped other carmakers to cash in the festive season demand. Hyundai has delivered about 12,500 units across in India on Dhanteras. MG Motor which has been on a role in India since it launched the Hector SUV has delivered a record 700 units of the Hector on Dhanteras. Mercedes-Benz, India's largest luxury carmaker too delivered 600 units on Dhanteras.
