MG Gloster Savvy 7-Seater Variant Launched In India; Priced at Rs. 37.28 Lakh

MG Motor India has officially launched a new 7-seater Savvy variant of its Gloster full-size SUV with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and intelligent four-wheel drive. The newly launched variant is priced at Rs. 37.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Previously, the Savvy trim was available only in a six-seat configuration. Both the 6-seater and 7-seater variants of the Savvy trim are priced exactly at Rs. 37.28 lakh (ex-showroom). The 6-seater and 7-seater variants of the Sharp trim too share the same price tag of Rs. 35.78 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new MG Gloster Savvy 7-seater variant gets a bench seat in the middle row
The flagship SUV is now available with a seven-seat layout on Super, Sharp and Savvy trims. Apart from the seating layout, there are no changes made to the SUV on the aesthetic or mechanical fronts. The new seven-seat Savvy variant gets a bench seat in the middle row to incorporate three passengers.
Gaurav Gupta, Chief Commercial Officer, MG Motor India, said, "We are introducing the Gloster Savvy with a 7-seater configuration in response to requests from our customers. With this addition to the existing Gloster Savvy with 6-seater configuration, we are offering our customers the power to choose a vehicle as per their needs and preferences."
The Chinese-owned British carmaker introduced the Gloster flagship SUV in October last year, which marked its entry into the full-size SUV segment. It comes equipped with a Level 1 autonomous Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with features such as an adaptive cruise control system, automatic parking assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and blind-spot detection. It also gets a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, i-SMART technology, 64-color ambient lighting, three-zone auto climate control, panoramic sunroof, fatigue reminder system, projector lens LED headlights, LED DRLs, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, etc.

The new Savvy 7-seater variant of the Gloster is powered by the 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that makes 215 bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque.
The new seven-seat Savvy variant comes powered by the same 2.0-litre, twin-turbo diesel engine that makes 215 bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque. It comes paired with 8-speed automatic transmission. It gets intelligent four-wheel drive with seven terrain modes - Snow, Sand, Mud, Rock, Sport, Eco and Auto. There's also a 2.0-litre turbo diesel on offer that powers the Super and Smart trims of the SUV. Do note, the 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel is offered only on the Sharp and Savvy trims.
The SUV competes with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X and the Mahindra Alturas G4. The base Super variant of the Gloster is priced at Rs. 29.98 lakh and top-of-the-line Savvy trim costs Rs. 37.28 lakh (ex-showroom).
