The 2021 MG ZS EV electric SUV comes with a 44.5 kWh Hi-Tech battery pack and a maximum range of up to 419 km

However, the bigger problem that EV manufacturers, and other automakers, are currently facing is on the supply side rather than the demand. And that is mainly due to the global shortage of semiconductor chips. In fact, announcing the sales numbers for August 2021, Chaba said, "We are witnessing busy dealerships, eagerly seeking more inventory. However, the severe shortage of chips is expected to continue till the end of the year, leading to production constraints. We expect manufacturing in September to be severely impacted, which will be lower than August." Last month, rival Tata Motors also said that it's only able to produce a third of the total number of bookings that the company is getting for the Nexon EV.
