Ola Says 10,000 S1 E-Scooters Sold In One Day

- Purchase window for early customers commenced on September 1
- Early access bookings opened on August 15
- Deliveries to start from September 7
On August 15, Ola made a number of new announcements, one of which was the launch of the S1 electric scooter. The company had opened the booking window for the scooter on the same day with the purchase window for customers placing orders by August 31 opening on September 1, 2022. The booking window for other customers open today, September 2.
Now the company has said that post the pre-bookings, it has now sold 10,000 units of the new entry electric scooter when the purchase window opened on September 1. Deliveries for the new S1 start from September 7.

Deliveries of S1 Pro Khaki edition to also commence on September 7
Essentially the lower variant of the S1 Pro, the S1 gets a 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack giving the scooter a claimed range of 141 km per charge. Ola says in real-world use the scooter will offer up to 101 km per charge in normal mode with Eco boosting the number to 128 km. Ola claims a top speed of 95 kmph for the scooter.

The company has also said that it will also commence deliveries of the S1 Pro Khaki edition on the same date.
The company is also set to introduce MoveOS 3 for its scooters in India around Diwali. The update will add in more features to the scooters including digital key sharing, improved regen and more.
