Planning To Buy A Used Honda CR-V? Pros And Cons

The Honda CR-V has been in the Indian market since 2004. Now India has not been the recipient of all the generations of the car and it's only the 2nd, 4th and the 5th generation models that have made it to Indian shores. The fifth-gen model of the CR-V was launched in 2018 and we drove to car to tell you what a formidable 7-seater it really is. But now it's available in the used car market as well and if you want a 7-seater SUV, then you can have one. While the 2nd gen model is available for as low as Rs. 3 lakh, the 4th gen model is priced at around Rs. 13 -15 lakh. The 5th gen model too is available around Rs. 29 lakh and you'll get a good deal for all of the above generations. So let's get to the pros and cons of the used Honda CR-V
PROS
- The Honda CR-V is spacious and the cabin of the 5th gen model is very premium and yes, you do feel you are in a nice car. The SUV therefore becomes a lot more premium and also is good for occupants

Honda CR-V gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, but sadly misses out on Navigation
- The 2-litre petrol engine churns out 154 bhp and it's powerful and very smooth too. The engine is extremely refined and that's great to have in a big car like this and the 8-speed gearbox also keeps feeding power to you when required
- The CR-V handles like a dream. The chassis is so well tuned that you enjoy throwing it around and it will not complain. The ride is sublime and comfortable and that's why even the occupants enjoy it
CONS
- The 8-speed gearbox is not really for the enthusiast and if you think that the reaction will be similar to a dual clutch transmission then you're wrong. Though the rubber band effect is contained, it's not completely done away with.
- Now, we said that the ride is sublime, but at lower speeds, it feels a little firm and you don't like to be in that bandwidth because then in traffic conditions, it's not the most comfortable.
