Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black Launched In Australia, New Zealand

- Last of the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black models to be sold
- The Classic 500 Tribute Black models were also sold in India and the UK
- Royal Enfield will discontinue the 500 cc models after these last models
Royal Enfield has launched the last of the Classic 500 motorcycles, with the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black limited edition model in Australia and New Zealand. The Classic 500 Tribute Black models have already been offered on sale in India, before the 500 cc UCE engine was discontinued due to the BS6 emission regulations which came into effect from April 1, 2020. As many as 210 Tribute Black models were also offered on sale in the UK last year, which marked the end of the 500 cc engine. But now, it seems there will be the very last of these models, which will be sold in Australia and New Zealand.

The Royal Enfield Classic 500 Tribute Black models will be the last motorcycles to feature the Royal Enfield 500 cc engine
The 500 cc unit construction engine (UCE) has been in service since 2009, when it made its debut on the first generation Royal Enfield Classic 500, and later on was also introduced in the Bullet 500, as well as the Thunderbird 500 in the Indian market. The single-cylinder, air-cooled 500 cc engine makes 27.2 bhp of power and 41.3 Nm of torque. The UCE platforms, in both 350 cc and 500 cc displacements, will be discontinued, and Royal Enfield has already launched a new 350 cc platform with the new RE Meteor 350. Going forward, the fate of the 500 cc is uncertain, with RE concentrating on the 650 Twins platform.

Also available will be additional accessories like canvas panniers with mounting racks, touring mirrors, pillion seat and a machined oil filler cap.
