Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650 India Launch Highlights: Prices, Images, Specifica

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 was launched today and the bike maker has finally announced the prices for its all-new middleweight motorcycles. We've ridden the bikes and did come back quite impressed with what they have to offer. This does raise expectations from Royal Enfield's modern-day large capacity motorcycles, which could be game changers for the segment and the company as well. The 650 Twins are expected to do wonders for RE globally too, establishing the Chennai-based bike maker on the global front.

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 also mark a major leap for the brand technologically. The bike uses a newly developed platform developed by UK's Harris Performance, while the engine is a 649 cc parallel-twin motor, a first-ever for Royal Enfield. The air/oil cooled motor is tuned to produce 47 bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 6-speed gearbox and also gets a slipper clutch. The bike also comes with dual-channel ABS across both versions.
