- The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will be a more road-biased offering
- The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will take on the Yezdi Scrambler
- The Royal Enfield Scram 411 will be more affordable than the Himalayan
Royal Enfield has announced the launch date for the upcoming Scram 411 motorcycle, the brand's newest offering. The all-new offering will go on sale on March 15, 2022, and is the latest "affordable" scrambler to go on sale in the country. The new scrambler-styled motorcycle is based on the RE Himalayan and has been tweaked on the design and functionality front. Details of the Royal Enfield Scram 411 were leaked earlier this year and the model will be lighter than the Himalayan losing plenty of the bodywork. The Scram 411 will take on the Yezdi Scrambler in the same space.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 411 will get a smaller 19-inch front wheel while riding on dual-purpose tyres. The design remains identical to the Himalayan but the jerry can holders and the tall windscreen have been done away with. There will also be more vibrant colour options on the motorcycle. Other upgrades will include a revised instrument console with the Tripped navigation pod, a cast metal-finished headlamp cowl, split seats and revised side panels. There's also the aluminium sump guard and urban badge plate. The ground clearance is down to 200 mm.

Power will come from the same 411 cc single-cylinder engine with 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque on offer. The motor is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike will also carry over the suspension and braking hardware but it needs to be seen if there will be any tweaks to the same. The Royal Enfield Scram 411 also promises to be slightly more affordable than the Himalayan and could be right under the Rs. 2 lakh mark (ex-showroom). In contrast, the RE Himalayan is priced at Rs. 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
