Shuttler Saina Nehwal Plans To Buy The Stunning Jaguar F-Type

- Saina Nehwal test drove the Jaguar F-Type recently in Hyderabad
- The F-Type can be had either with a 3-litre V6 or a 5.0-litre V8 engine
- The Jaguar F-Type is priced between Rs. 1.45- 3.07 crore (ex-showroom)
Saina Nehwal is synonymous with badminton in India but little did we know that the ace shuttler has a thing for cars too. Well, even if she isn't an ardent petrolhead yet, we think she will be soon as Nehwal just might add the prowling Jaguar F-Type to her garage soon. The sports icon recently took to social media to share images of her test drive in the F-Type coupe with the caption "Planning to buy this beauty... Jaguar F-Type." The sports car is Jaguar's flagship offering in the country and certainly one of most beautiful cars currently on sale worldwide.
Planning to buy this beauty ... jaguar F type
The Jaguar F-Type is the spiritual successor to the E-Type in the automaker's stable and is one of the more stunning British beauties you can get your hands on. The flowing lines and the signature LED taillamps are like no other and have even influenced the automaker's smaller offerings including the XE sedan, as well as F-Pace and E-Pace SUVs. Apart from the images, Nehwal also shared a video on social media of her driving the Jaguar F-Type coupe in the by-lanes of Hyderabad.

The Jaguar F-Type is available in both coupe and convertible versions while engine options range from the entry-level 3.0-litre Supercharged V6 that makes 335 bhp; to the range-topping 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 that churns out 543 bhp of power. There is also an absolute manic F-Type SVR that belts out 567 bhp and 700 Nm from the uprated 5.0-litre V8 motor. While it isn't clear if Nehwal will settle for the standard or the R/SVR versions, we do hope it is the latter.
On the work front, Saina Nehwal was retained by Awadhe Warriors team in the players auction of the Premier Badminton League (PBL) earlier this week. The Indian shuttler was retained for Rs. 41.25 lakh, having won a bronze medal from Glasgow this year.
Over the course of her career, the Indian badminton player has been awarded several cars for her achievements. In 2012, Sachin Tendulkar had presented Saina with a BMW car, congratulating her on winning a bronze medal at the London Olympics. More recently, Hyundai India awarded her a Creta First Anniversary Edition in celebration of her winning the Australian Open Championship in 2016.
The Jaguar F-Type then, would be an extremely beautiful addition to her garage and certainly the envy of many. On behalf of all the petrolheads out there, we have to tell you, that's a great choice Saina.
