Suzuki GSX150 Bandit Showcased At 2018 GIIAS

- The new Bandit 150 gets the same engine as the GSX-S150
- It will not be coming to India in the near future
- It is styled like a commuter motorcycle
Suzuki took the wraps off the new GSX150 Bandit at the recently concluded 2018 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show or the GIIAS. The GSX150 Bandit is based on the sportier GSX-S150 and has been styled more like a regular 150 cc commuter. It is a motorcycle specific only to South East Asia, probably Indonesia and we highly doubt that it will be brought to India as Suzuki already sells the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF here. A stylish sculpted tank, a belly pan and a trapezoidal LED headlamp lend a sporty look to the bike but there is no mistaking that the 150 Bandit is a commuter thanks to the positioning of the footpegs which are in the centre, the flat handlebar and the single piece seat of course.
The Suzuki Bandit 150 gets the same engine from the GSX 150 bike which is a 147.3 cc single-cylinder unit which is fuel-injected and makes 19 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque which is more powerful than any other 150 cc bike on sale in India right now. If you were to compare, the Suzuki Gixxer makes 14.8 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque in India. The new Suzuki Bandit 150 gets a 6-speed gearbox while the Gixxer gets a 5-speed unit.
The Suzuki GSX150 Bandit features a telescopic suspension up front and a monoshock at the rear. Plus, the bike gets standard disc brakes on both wheels. Suzuki is not offering ABS on the Bandit 150, even as an option.
