On April 7, 2022, Suzuki Motorcycle India launched its entry-level crossover adventure motorcycle, the Suzuki V-Strom SX, with design inspired by its bigger siblings in the Suzuki V-Strom family. The 250 cc adventure sports tourer, as Suzuki describes it, is based on the made-in-India Suzuki Gixxer 250 platform, and shares the same 249 cc, single-cylinder engine, but gets a bigger 19-inch front wheel, more ground clearance and a tall-ish stance for everyday adventures. Clearly, Suzuki India will be looking to up its game in the entry-level premium motorcycle segment in the months to come, and motorcycles such as the models in the 250 cc segment, as well as 125-160 cc segment will become increasingly more important for Suzuki India's export plans.
