The Suzuki V-Strom SX is the latest entry-level crossover, based on the Suzuki Gixxer 250 platform.
Over the past year, Suzuki India has grown its exports by almost double to 1,45,000 units, and even this year, the company is expecting to clock the same growth momentum along with sustaining sales. Currently, Suzuki India exports to destinations like the SAARC countries, which includes Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Bhutan, Latin America, South-East Asia, Africa and even Japan. On April 7, 2022, Suzuki Motorcycle India launched its entry-level crossover adventure motorcycle, the Suzuki V-Strom SX, with design inspired by its bigger siblings in the Suzuki V-Strom family. The 250 cc adventure sports tourer, as Suzuki describes it, is based on the made-in-India Suzuki Gixxer 250 platform, and shares the same 249 cc, single-cylinder engine, but gets a bigger 19-inch front wheel, more ground clearance and a tall-ish stance for everyday adventures. Clearly, Suzuki India will be looking to up its game in the entry-level premium motorcycle segment in the months to come, and motorcycles such as the models in the 250 cc segment, as well as 125-160 cc segment will become increasingly more important for Suzuki India's export plans.
