Tata Motors' Global Wholesales Grew 2 Per Cent In Q4 FY2022

Tata Motors released the group's global wholesales numbers for the fourth quarter of Financial Year 2021-22. In the quarter that ended on March 31, 2022, Tata Motors' global wholesales in Q4 FY22, including Jaguar Land Rover, stood at 3,34,884 units, registering a marginal 2 per cent growth as compared to what the company sold during the January-March period in 2022. The global wholesales of all commercial vehicles and the Tata Daewoo range in Q4 stood at 1,22,147 units, registering a hike of 12 per cent in the same period last year.

On the domestic front, Tata Motors registered robust sales in the month of March 2022, registering an overall 30 per cent growth, recording 86,718 units sold in March 2022, compared to the 66,462 units sold in March 2021. The Q4 2022 results also saw a hike with a 28 per cent growth in its overall domestic sales as it registered 2,33,078 units against 1,82,477 units in Q4 FY21.

The global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 89,148 vehicles in Q4 FY22.

Similarly, Tata Motors' sold 4,64,062 units in FY21, while it registered 6,92,554 units in FY22, a 49 per cent growth in its domestic sales. In terms of PVs alone, Tata Motors recorded its highest-ever annual sales of 3,70,372 units in FY22, up by 67 per cent as against 1,31,196 units sold in FY21. It also recorded a growth of 47 per cent, its highest-ever quarterly sales in Q4FY22, with 1,23,051 units, as compared to 83,857 units sold in Q4FY21. In the month of March 2022, the company recorded its highest-ever monthly sales of 42,293 units, seeing an upward trend of 43 per cent against 29,654 units in March 2021.
