Tata Nexon EV Prime Introduced With New Features And Increased Prices

Tata Motors announced the introduction of Tata Nexon EV Prime with updated features trickling down from the Tata Nexon EV Max such as multi-mode regen, automatic brake lamp activation on regeneration, cruise control, indirect Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS), smartwatch integrated connectivity feature, and charging timeout of 110 seconds. However, it should be noted that the ex-showroom prices for both the Tata Nexon EV Prime and Tata Nexon EV Max have also been increased by up to Rs. 1.31 lakh and Rs. 60,000 respectively depending on the variant. For the unversed, the Tata Nexon EV is now renamed Tata Nexon EV Prime.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TMPS) on the Tata Nexon EV Prime is a new addition.

Additionally, Tata Motors is extending these new features to over 22,000 existing Nexon EV owners, through a software update, which would be free of cost for the first time, while subsequent software updates to all existing owners will be on a paid basis. Moreover, these updates are not Over The Air (OTA) but instead available at Tata's authorised service centres from July 25, 2022. Although unconfirmed, expect every software update to be charged.
