Tata Punch Records 1,00,000 Sales; Becomes Fastest SUV To Reach The Milestone

- Tata Punch has crossed the 1,00,000 units sales milestone in India.

Less than 10 months ago, Tata Motors launched its smallest SUV, the Tata Punch in India, and it received an overwhelming response beating all other Tata cars in sales milestones. Now, Tata Motors has announced that it has sold as many as 1 lakh units of the micro SUV, making it the fastest SUV to reach that mark in India.

Commenting on this milestone, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, “We are delighted to share that Punch has achieved the 1 Lakh sales mark within a short span of 10 months. It is one of the highest selling SUVs from our ‘New Forever’ portfolio. This achievement speaks highly of the strong response from customers and we are very thankful to them for their continued trust.”

Tata Punch gets a list of features, including 7-inch touchscreen, part digital instrument cluster, auto climate control, and more.
There are many factors which contribute to the success of the Tata Punch. It has a proper SUV-like stance whilst having dimensions similar to hatchbacks, giving the ease of use of a small car and the commanding driving position of a tall SUV. Adding to that is the list of features which it has to offer, including a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a part digital instrument cluster, auto climate control, and a multi-functional flat-bottom steering wheel. You also get Tata's iRA connected car tech as an option.

Tata Punch received a 5-star safety rating from GNCAP, making it one of the safest cars in India.
One of the main USPs of the Tata Punch though, is its safety standards. The micro SUV received a 5-star safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Programme, better known as Global NCAP, which makes it one of the safest cars in India. It also holds a 4-star safety rating for child occupant protection. All of that at a starting price of Rs. 5.92 lakh (Ex-showroom) has contributed to its success in the Indian market.
