Toyota GR HV Sports Concept gets Toyota's signature Traga Top
The new Toyota GR HV Sports concept, as the name suggests, it's a hybrid sports car that has been inspired by the Toyota Gazoo Racing's TS050 Hybrid racing car that competes in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Designed to be both functional and at the same time sporty and stylish, the GR HV Sports concept comes features LED headlights, aluminium wheels, and a rear diffuser similar to the TS050 Hybrid. The concept car also features the signature 'Targa Top' that was used in some of the Japanese carmaker's iconic convertible sports cars like the Toyota Sports 800 (a.k.a. Yotahachi) and the Supra. And to make things even better, Toyota has painted the concept car in this stylish matte black body colour.

Toyota GR HV Sports Concept gets a front engine, rear-wheel drive setup
The cabin comes with a conventional sports car-like layout with sporty seats for two along with a well-laid-out dashboard that offers a selection of controls. While essentially an automatic car, even purists can enjoy the car by shifting it to manual mode. To make both the experiences as seamless as possible the automatic gear position is located in the centre cluster to achieve a racing car-like ambience and a conventional gearbox offering the drive complete control over the 6-speed gearbox that too with H-pattern shifting. Even the push-button ignition switch is playfully located on the shift knob, now, what more can you ask for?

Also, the hybrid battery is mounted near the centre of the vehicle for better weight distribution and centre of gravity. The technical specifications haven't been released yet but it will come with a front engine, rear-wheel-drive setup.
