TVS Victor Hits Sales Milestone of 1 Lakh Units In 9 Months

- The 2016 TVS Victor went on sale in January this year
- The 2016 Victor is powered by a 110cc single-cylinder EcoThrust engine
- The Victor, like all TVS models now, comes with 24/7 Roadside Assistance
TVS Motor Company can now be certain that the 'Victor' nameplate never lost its charm as the commuter motorcycle has hit a milestone of one lakh unit sales in nine months. Launched earlier this year, the Hosur-based bike maker's latest 110cc commuter brought back the moniker after almost a decade and was quick to grab attention for being a well rounded product.
This sales milestone also means the Victor is averaging a healthy 10,000 units every months since its launch. That said, the figure is still away from the what segment leader Hero MotoCorp achieves with the likes of the Passion Pro and Splendor.
The stupendous success has not been beneficial to TVS in the 110cc segment, but has also given the company's market share a major push of 8 per cent in the overall motorcycle segment. Keeping the same momentum, the bike maker now expects to achieve a 10-12 per cent market share in the domestic motorcycle market over the next two years with the new Victor being a major growth driver in the process.
Speaking on the new sales milestone, TVS, Vice President - Marketing (Motorcycles), Arun Siddharth said, "We are delighted to have 1 lakh families join us on this journey to spread smiles. It is our endeavour to add more members to the growing family of TVS Victor and we are confident that we will build on the growth momentum."

TVS Victor - Old vs New
Competing with the Hero Splendor, Passion Pro, Honda Livo and the likes in the segment, the TVS Victor has been appreciated for its smart yet conservative style, smooth ride quality and abundance of features, something we found out too when we rode the bike earlier this year.
The 110cc 3-valve, single-cylinder Ecothrust engine also happens to be one of the most powerful and refined units in the segment churning out 9.4bhp at 8000rpm and 9.4Nm of torque at 6000rpm. The motor comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike can accommodate two in comfort and returns a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 76 km/l. It also gets a segment first hazard lights feature.
While the Victor is doing well for TVS, the manufacturer has introduced new colour options for its other commuters - the Star City+ and Sport - this festive season in a bid to boost sales. The company is also offering different discounts and packages for the festive season including special 3.9 per cent interest rate, cheque-less EMI schemes for rural markets and free 24/7 Roadside Assistance Program across complete range
2016 TVS Victor Prices (ex-showroom, Delhi) -
