Volkswagen Taigun 1.0 TSI First Anniversary Edition Introduced

- The Volkswagen Taigun First Anniversary Edition gets styling updates.
- It also introduces a new 'Rising Blue' colour to the range.
- It is offered only on the 1.0-litre TSI engine option.
The Volkswagen Taigun turns one today and celebrating the occasion Volkswagen has launched a special edition model of the compact SUV in our market. The Volkswagen Taigun was also the carandbike Car Of The Year 2021 and has been a runaway success for the German brand with over 40,000 customer orders, while Volkswagen has already delivered over 22,000 units. The Volkswagen Taigun First Anniversary Edition is offered on the Dynamic Line and Topline variants available on the 1.0 TSI MT and AT. It adorns a sportier look and gets a "1st" anniversary badging across the exterior and interior. It also gets 11 new design features like including high lux fog lamps, body-coloured door garnish, black C-pillar graphics, black roof foil, door-edge protector, black wing mirror caps, window visors and aluminium pedals. The First Anniversary Edition is introduces a new 'Rising Blue' body colour to the Taigun's range in addition to the Curcuma Yellow and Wild Cherry Red.

The Volkswagen Taigun is available in two turbo petrol engine options. First up is the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI engine delivering 113 bhp at 5000 - 5500 rpm and 178 Nm of peak torque at 1750-4500 rpm. The engine is offered either with a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. Then is the bigger 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI motor belting out 148 bhp at 5000 - 6000 rpm and 250 Nm of peak torque at 1600 - 3500 rpm. The engine is mated either to a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission and comes equipped with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) and engine idle start/stop technology.
