2017 KTM RC 390 And RC 200 Launch Date Revealed

- The KTM RC 390 & RC 200 will sport new liveries for the 2017 model year
- The RC 390 will get additional equipment including RBW and slipper clutch
- Brochures of the 2017 RC twins were leaked earlier this month
Just days after the brochure was leaked online, Bajaj Auto has announced that it will be introducing the 2017 KTM RC 390 and RC 200 in the country on 19th January. Launched in 2015, this is the first major upgrade that the RC twins get and will boast of new livery and more equipment.
For the new model year, the 2017 KTM RC 390 continues with its existing design, but gets new graphics with a black and white paint scheme and more emphasis on orange. The KTM badging has been replaced with 'RC 390' on the side fairing. That said, new features have been added to the track focused offering including a new side mounted exhaust can that replaces the underbelly unit; ride-by-wire tech, slipper clutch and a larger 320 mm front disc brake for improved stopping power.

2017 KTM RC 200
On the 2017 KTM RC 200, the bike gets new orange and white livery. The mechanicals do not see a comprehensive upgrade though. Meanwhile, the powertrain remains similar on both motorcycles with a 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine churning out 43.5 bhp and 36 Nm of torque, while the 199 cc engine on the RC 200 belts out 25 bhp and 19.2 Nm of torque. Both units come paired to a 6-speed transmission.
The updated KTM RC 390 and RC 200 arrive just days after the deliveries commence for the Bajaj Dominar 400. Meanwhile, the Indian bike maker also has the new 390 Duke and 200 Duke lined up for launch this year after the models made a fantastic debut at EICMA 2016.
More details on the new KTM RC range will be available at the launch on the 19th. We will be there, so make sure to keep watching this space for complete details.
