The Audi e-tron GT is all set to go on sale in India on September 22, 2021, and it's the next electric vehicle from the Ingolstadt-based carmaker to reach our shores. Earlier this year, the company launched the e-tron and e-tron Sportback electric SUVs in India, and it had confirmed that it will launch a third electric vehicle in India by the end of 2021. Interestingly, it was just earlier this year, in February 2021, that Audi unveiled the new all-electric, four-door, Gran Tourismo coupe. Interior and Tech
The cabin design is in line with a classic Gran Turismo where the driver and front passenger seats are installed in a sporty low position and separated by a wide centre console. Audi claims that the rear seats also provide enough space even for adults. The car comes with a 12.3-inches instrument cluster with a virtual cockpit and a 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen display as standard. The system supports natural voice commands and Audi Connect services. The MMI navigation plus comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot as standard offering intelligent navigation with e-Tron specific functions.

To further amplify its sports car character, the e-tron GT also comes with custom software that offers unique exhaust sounds. The system is called AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) which in the base 'Efficiency' mode generates a broader sound than is legally required. However, there are two more modes 'Comfort' and 'Dynamic', while in the former the exterior sound is fuller and has better quality, in the dynamic mode, it's even more powerful, and sound is added inside the cabin as well. The system generates separate exterior and interior sounds using the loudspeakers positioned both outside as well as inside the vehicle.
