2022 Hyundai Tucson: What We Know So Far

Hyundai India is all set to introduce the new-generation Hyundai Tucson in the country on July 13, 2022. The company will reveal the India-spec model of the 2022 Hyundai Tucson with prices to be revealed later. Globally the Hyundai Tucson has entered a new generation cycle, and the key things to look forward to are the new design language and some crucial features and driving updates. The Hyundai Tucson has been in the Indian market since 2005, while globally, it was available since 2004, and during its 18 years of production, the South Korean carmaker sold more than 7 million units.
The Tucson comes with LED DRLs, which are built into a geometric grille pattern, so when they are off, it looks like only a large dark grille

The next-generation Hyundai Tucson sports a completely new design language and is a huge departure from the outgoing model. It is now sharper than before, while the front styling of the new Hyundai Tucson sports the new Parametric grille with integrated LED DRLs, and LED headlight. The new Hyundai Tucson also features a new front bumper. We also see more angular body cladding, blacked-out pillars with a floating roof, and a new LED taillight design with an LED connecting light strip across the tailgate. The 2022 Hyundai Tucson also comes equipped with new alloy wheels with contrasting coloured roof rails, and chrome surrounds on the window.

On the inside, the new Hyundai Tucson carries over the same layout and features found on the global spec Tucson. These include a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto & BlueLink connected car tech. Hyundai is also offering touch controls for the climate control systems, ambient lighting, an e-parking brake, and a switch for gear changes instead of a conventional gear lever. The cabin of the new Hyundai Tucson will sport an all-black upholstery with the possibility of Beige & Brown options as well.
The Hyundai Tucson's claw-like continuous taillights are a cool signature, and really stand out in traffic, especially at night.

Under the hood, the new Hyundai Tucson will retain the tried & tested 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol, and diesel engine options with transmission choices including a 6-speed manual and automatic, along with all-wheel-drive (AWD) in top-spec variants.
