Maruti Suzuki India is readying the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift, with a tentative debut set for April. Although the company has not confirmed if it indeed is the refreshed Maruti Suzuki XL6, a few dealer sources confirmed that the refreshed model of the premium MPV will be launched in the third week of April, between April 21-24, 2022. We even spotted a heavily camouflaged test mule of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 last year, expected to come with updated styling and some new features. Mechanically though, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 is likely to remain unchanged.

We expect the 2022 XL6 to come with revised LED taillights, a revised bumper, and possibly new alloy wheels

Maruti Suzuki's premium 6-seater XL6 MPV was launched in 2019 and is the premium version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, sold under the Nexa umbrella. Visually, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift will feature an updated front end, refreshed headlights, revised grille with a honeycomb mesh pattern. The front bumpers will also get upgraded with a facelift. Apart from this, also expect Maruti Suzuki to give a fresh set of LED taillights, as well as a revised bumper and possibly new alloy wheels.
Inside, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift could get an updated cabin with minor tweaks. These could include a wireless charger and power-adjustable seats. We also expect Maruti to upgrade the touchscreen infotainment system to the latest SmartPlay Pro+, sourced from the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The head-up display (HUD) could also be part of the deal., Elements retained will be multi-functional steering wheels, Auto AC, and rear AC vents.

As we mentioned already, the engine will be the same as earlier, and powering the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 would be the company's 1.5-litre K15 petrol engine with SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) mild-hybrid technology, with a Li-ion battery tuned to churn out 103 bhp and a peak torque of 138 Nm, while mated to a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission options. A BS6 1.5-litre diesel engine could also be introduced with the refreshed model. However, we have no confirmation on that yet.
