Bajaj Chetak Bookings Reopen In Pune And Bengaluru

After opening order books in Mysore, Aurangabad and Mangalore, Bajaj Auto has begun accepting bookings once again in Pune and Bengaluru. You can book the electric scooter for a token amount of Rs. 2000. Sales originally began in these two cities in early 2020 and were closed time and again due to the pandemic and the resultant lockdown. Sales began once again in April 2021 and the electric scooter was immediately sold out as soon as the window opened. Nevertheless, bookings for the Bajaj Chetak are now open in multiple cities.

This also hints towards Bajaj sorting out their supply-chain issues for the Chetak that had taken due to the pandemic. Apart from the aforementioned cities, Bajaj will soon begin taking bookings in Chennai and Hyderabad. The company aims to make the electric offering available in 22 cities by 2022 in a phased manner.

The Bajaj Chetak is powered by the 3.8 kW motor that develops 5 bhp and 16.2 Nm
The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.42 lakh for the Urbane variant, while the Premium variant will set you back by Rs 1.44 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Pune. The electric scooter draws power from the 3.8 kW motor that develops about 5 bhp and 16.2 Nm of peak torque. It's got a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that promises a range of 80 km on a single charge, which can go up to 95 km in the Eco mode. The top speed on the scooter is around 70 kmph. The Chetak can be fully charged in about six to eight hours.

With respect to features, the Bajaj Chetak comes with LED lighting, LED DRL, Bluetooth-enabled instrument console, illuminated switchgear, and a connectivity app. It does not get a fast charger though.
