Bajaj Pulsar Range Crosses 1 Lakh Monthly Sales Milestone For The First Time

The Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle range remains one of the more popular sporty offerings in the country and has been a best-seller for the bike maker over the years. In March 2019 though, the bike range achieved a new high with sales for the Pulsar line-up crossing the one lakh sales milestone in a single month. This is for the first time that the Bajaj Pulsar bikes have crossed the milestone in the domestic market, while monthly volumes on average have been around 45,000-60,000 units. Compared to March 2018, sales for the Pulsar series helped Bajaj grow by 39 per cent year-on-year.

The Bajaj Pulsar range is available from 150 cc going up to 220 cc
The Bajaj Pulsar brand was first introduced in 2001 and continues to be consistent seller in the 150-220 cc segment. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 is the largest selling model in the line-up, while the Pulsar 180, Pulsar 220F and the RS and NS 200 contribute significantly as well. For 2019, Bajaj also introduced the updated versions of all the Pulsar series motorcycles with visual upgrades and the inclusion of single-channel Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) as a standard feature. The new Pulsar 180F was also introduced this year wearing the semi-faired bodykit from the 220F.
With respect to yearly sales too Bajaj Auto has had a positive year growing by 25 per cent in FY2018-19. The company reported a sale of 50,19,503 units (domestic + exports) for motorcycles and commercial vehicles, as opposed to 40,06,791 units sold during FY2017-18. The sales figure has been the highest ever for the company in a year, a milestone in its own regard With respect to motorcycle sales, Bajaj Auto sold 323,538 units sold in March 2019, a 20 per cent when compared to 269,939 units in March last year. A significant chunk of the volumes were contributed by the Pulsar series.
