Benelli India has launched the Benelli 502C cruiser motorcycle, powered by a 500 cc parallel-twin engine that is also shared by its siblings, the Benelli Leoncino 500, and the Benelli TRK 502. The 500 cc parallel-twin, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine makes 46.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Priced at Rs. 4.98 lakh (Ex-showroom), the Benelli 502C seems to have a design inspired by the Ducati Diavel, and tips the scales with 216 kg kerb weight. The Benelli 502C has no directo competitor in India right now, except probably its sibling, the Leoncino 500.

Design
The Benelli 502C bears an uncanny resemblance to the Ducati Diavel, down the short stubby seat, exposed trellis frame, and sharp tail section. The bike gets aggressive lines, and signature double-barrel exhausts on the right side, and gets a digital instrument console. With a 21-litre fuel tank, the 502C promises decent range.

The 500 cc four-valve, parallel-twin engine makes 46.8 bhp, 46 Nm
Engine
The Benelli 502C uses the same 500 cc parallel-twin, DOHC, 4-valve engine as the Leoncino 500 and the TRK 502 adventure tourer. The engine makes 46.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

Chassis
The 502C is built around a steel trellis frame, and kerb weight is rated at 216 kg, while ground clearance is 170 mm. The 750 mm seat height should make it easily accessible to riders of all kinds of height.

The 502C gets the same BS6 compliant engine as the Leoncino 500 and the TRK 502. It is a 500 cc parallel-twin motor, making 46.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 46 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Cycle Parts
The Benelli 502C gets 43mm USD forks and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by 280 mm discs up front and a 240 mm rear disc, with 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear.
