EICMA 2021: Moto Morini X-Cape Adventure Bike Unveiled

Italian motorcycle brand Moto Morini has showcased the upcoming 2022 X-Cape adventure bike at the EICMA 2021 motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The bike, which the company says will be 100 per cent made in Italy, was shown as a prototype at the EICMA 2019. The bike comes with neat lines, attractive paintwork, and has the stance of a true-blue mid-sized adventure bike, with long travel suspension and an upright riding stance. Going by the design, it looks capable enough to take on decent off-road duties.

The X-Cape is powered by a 649 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with 59 bhp, and will be positioned in Europe against the Yamaha Tenere 700, as well as the Aprilia Tuareg. Power may be modest, but the X-Cape rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination, shod with off-road ready Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres. Suspension duties are handled by a beefy 50 mm, fully adjustable upside down front fork from Marzocchi, while rear suspension features adjustable preload and rebound damping.

The X-Cape features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, with off-road ready tyres.
Information is displayed on a large 7-inch, full-colour, TFT instrument console , and offers customisation options, with four different graphics styles. There's a tyre pressure monitoring system, switchable ABS from Bosch and full-LED lighting system.

Moto Morini X-Cape will be available in Europe as a 2022 model.
The Moto Morini X-Cape will be available in Europe as a 2022 model, and will be offered in three different colours. A restricted A2 compliant version will also be made available with less power to meet the licence requirements. However, it's unlikely to make its way to India, so we can just admire it from the images.
