Hero MotoCorp To Increase Prices Across Two-Wheelers From January 2018

- Hero says the ex-showroom price will increase by about Rs. 400 per model
- Hero will launch 3 new bikes in 2018 - Super Splendor, Passion Pro & XPro
- The Hero Xtreme 200 S & XPulse will also launch in 2018
The world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp is the latest company that will be increasing prices next year. Hero has announced that the ex-showroom prices of its motorcycles will increase by about Rs. 400 per model. The new prices will come into effect from January 1, 2018. The two-wheeler giant also said that the exact quantum of the increase will vary on the basis of the model and the specific market. Hero MotoCorp stated that the increase was necessary to offset rising input costs.
.
The price increase will affect all Hero two-wheelers including the existing range as well as the newly unveiled 2018 Hero Super Splendor, Passion Pro and Passion XPro. All three bikes have received comprehensive updates for the new year and are powered by Hero ingeniously developed engines. While the Super Splendor is a 125 cc offering sharing its powertrain with the new Glamour; the Passion Pro and Passion XPro use a 110 cc single-cylinder engine.
Having said that, 2018 is going to be interesting year for Hero MotoCorp. The company is expected to launch some very excited products in the market and that too in the premium space. This will include the Hero Xtreme 200S street-fighter that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and could debut in early 2018. The other offering is the much talked about XPulse adventure motorcycle, which made its debut at EICMA this year and will be arriving in India by mid-2018. The 2018 Auto Expo is just a month away and will host both offerings at the Hero pavilion.
