Land Rover's Fastest SUV Launched in India; Priced at Rs 2.03 crore

We've seen it make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2014 after which it went on sale in November the same year. Well, it is the fastest Range Rover ever built and is now available in India. The company says that it is available on a made-to-order basis and is priced at Rs. 2.03 crore.
Land Rover announced that the 2015 Range Rover Sport SVR is the fastest SUV to lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The SVR managed to lap the 'Ring in 8 minutes and 14 seconds, which makes it the fastest SUV in the world around the Nurburgring. The record-breaking attempt was established with a production-spec Range Rover Sport SVR driven by one of the company's test drivers.
Talking about its design, this one's got an aggressive front fascia with a mesh grille and larger air intakes. There is a new bumper too, that we spotted with an integrated diffuser. Also, there is no way one can ignore the sound coming out of that four-tailpipe exhaust system. Then there are the enormous alloy wheels and a high-performance braking system too.
The Range Rover Sport SVR gets a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine that churns out 550bhp (40bhp more than the Supercharged Sport)and develops 680Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a sport-tuned 8-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system which enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-100Km/h in 4.5 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 260.7Km/h.
The Range Rover Sport SVR has a recalibrated Dynamic Active Rear Locking Differential which locks earlier, and to an increased extent, to ensure torque is transferred to the rear wheel with most traction. The model also has an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch and an improved Torque Vectoring system which constantly balances the distribution of engine torque during cornering.
