Mahindra XUV700 Receives More Than 1 Lakh Bookings In 4 Months

Mahindra launched the XUV700 in October 2021 and since then the company has been overwhelmed by the response the SUV received when it received more than 50,000 bookings in just 3 hours after the booking window was opened online. The company today announced that the XUV700 has received more than 1 lakh bookings and these have come in in just 4 months since the launch of the car.

The deliveries of the petrol variants of the Mahindra XUV700 have been prioritised and they started in the last week of October itself, while deliveries for the diesel version began towards the end of November 2021. However, the waiting period continues to be an issue for this seven seater SUV as orders continue to climb.

The semi-conductor shortage has adversely affected the waiting period of the XUV700
Talking about the waiting period during the Q3 Financial results, Veejay Nakra, CEO, Mahindra and Mahindra said, "The supply of semi-conductors will continue to be an issue and we don't see signs of normalcy till the next 6-9 months. The higher waiting period on the XUV700 and the Thar will continue, but by and large, if you see that the models with high demand do have a waiting period for more than 6 months, but it will take some time to bring this waiting period down."
The SUV is offered in four key trims - MX, AX3, AX5, and AX7, which are further divided into 23 different iterations based on engine, transmission and AWD choices. Prices for the XUV700 start at Rs. 12.95 lakh, going up to Rs. 23.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
