Maruti Ertiga Limited Edition Ahead of Honda Mobilio Launch

India's leading car maker, Maruti Suzuki India, has launched a limited edition of the Ertiga MPV to celebrate the sale of 1,50,000 units of the car. Ertiga's special edition has been launched in three fuel options: petrol, diesel and CNG. Maruti is offering the Ertiga petrol limited edition with a price tag of Rs 6.76 lakh, the diesel variant for Rs 7.34 lakh, while the CNG trim is up for grabs at Rs 8.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Additional features like a rear spoiler, chrome grille, chrome door handles, additional body graphics and decals are being offered on the limited edition in addition to the features available on the standard model. Maruti Ertiga limited edition will be made available in three colour options, namely, White, Silver and a new Pearl Blaze Blue.
Cosmetic tweaks continue on the inside, including the addition of wooden trim around the instrument panel, doors and floor mats. Rear parking sensor and an improved audio system are also being offered on the limited edition Ertiga. Mechanically the MPV remains unchanged and continues to be powered by the 1.4-litre petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 94bhp and a 1.3-litre diesel engine that is good for 89bhp.

The limited edition Ertiga has come out almost a week ahead of Mobilio's launch in India, which is slated to happen on July 23, 2014. The hype around the latter's launch might have led MSI to roll out a limited edition Ertiga with additional features. Talking about the Mobilio, this new entrant in the MPV segment is expected to give tough competition to Ertiga, but it remains to be seen if Ertiga's sales will be affected by Mobilio's arrival.
