Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS and Ertiga SHVS Receive Big Price Cut in Delhi

- Prices for Ciaz & Ertiga SHVS go down after reduction in VAT
- Prices for Ciaz SHVS go down upto Rs. 69,000 and Rs. 62,000 for Ertiga
- Ciaz SHVS is now upto Rs. 2.19 cheaper than Honda City Diesel
Apparently due to the company's 'Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki' (SHVS) technology Ciaz and Ertiga come under the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP). This makes both the models eligible to receive almost 50 per cent reduction in VAT enabling the heavy price cut. That said one must keep in mind that the reduced prices are for Delhi alone, which prices of the car in other cities continue to remain unchanged.

Additionally with the price reduction the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS has now up to Rs. 2.19 lakh cheaper than its rival Honda City Diesel. While the base variant of both the cars see a difference of Rs. 1.62 lakh the top-of-the-line models sees a difference of a whooping Rs. 2.19 lakh, the effects of we will definitely is the sales their respective sales figures for coming months.
Coming to the models itself, both the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS and Ertiga SHVS are powered by the company's tried and tested 1.3-litre MultiJet Diesel engine paired with to the company's SHVS micro-hybrid technology. The engine produces churns out a maximum of 89bhp and a develop peak torque of 200Nm. Engines in both the models are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
