Nissan India announced its foray into the used car business under name 'Nissan Intelligence Choice'. The automaker's used car business will offer a platform for customers owning multi-brand cars to exchange the same with a new Nissan or a Datsun vehicle. Nissan says it wants to offer quality tested and certified pre-owned cars with optimum value via the new pre-owned car business. The company will begin its used car operations from ten cities including Noida, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Guwahati.
Commenting on this initiative, Nissan Motor India - Director - Sales, Network, and Pre-Owned Cars, Satinder Singh Bajwa said, "Pre-owned car market in India is growing at an exponential rate. And, we see a huge potential in this emerging business. Nissan Intelligent Choice is our global business model for pre-owned cars and after its success in Brazil and South Africa, we are excited to introduce it in India. We believe that Nissan Intelligent Choice will be an ideal platform to the customers looking for quality tested reliable pre-owned cars at value for money price."
(Nissan will offer a warranty up to 1 year/20,000 km on its used vehicles)
The Nissan Intelligent Choice program will see pre-owned cars going through a quality check of 167 points and unique vehicle inspection. The company's finance arm along with partner HDFC plan to offer flexible finance options with a low rate of interest and maximum loan to value of up to 95 per cent customers.
Nissan Intelligent Choice certified cars will be sold with up to 12 months/20,000 km warranty and three free inspections across all Nissan and Datsun vehicles.
