Suzuki Gixxer 250 Patent Images Leaked

- The exact specifications of the Gixxer 250 haven't been revealed yet
- There is no exact timeline on the launch of the Gixxer 250
- It will go up against the Yamaha FZ25 when launched in India
India is fast warming up to the idea of motorcycles which have a displacement between 200 cc to 400 cc. These offer thrilling performance and yet are practical at the same time and do not cost a bomb to run and maintain. Suzuki Motorcycle India hasn't had a model in this segment since it discontinued the Inazuma in March 2015. But now, Suzuki is working on a new 250 cc model, which might be launched in India in the near future. And we say this because the patent for a new 250 cc Suzuki bike has been leaked.
(The Gixxer 250 will have a single-cylinder engine, which will be air-cooled)We believe that the styling of the Gixxer 250 will be inspired from the Suzuki GSX-S300. Expect it to be a feature rich motorcycle having ABS, LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster as well. What we gather from the leaked information is that the engine will be a single-cylinder 250 cc unit and will be air-cooled in a bid to keep costs down but the engine will have fuel injection keeping emissions and efficiency in mind. There is no word on the exact specifications but we believe that Suzuki will keep them to match the engine specifications of the Yamaha FZ25.
There is no exact timeline for the launch of the Suzuki Gixxer 250 in India and there is every possibility that the bike could make its way to production in the next 1 year or so and be launched in early 2020. There is also a strong possibility the Gixxer 250 also spawn a 250 cc motorcycle with a fairing like how the Yamaha Fazer 25 was launched after the FZ25.
