Earlier this month, MG Motor India released photos of its 2022 MG ZS EV, ahead of an imminent launch, revealing key changes to the exterior of the electric flagship. Now, ahead of its India debut, the SAIC-owned British carmaker revealed additional details of its electric crossover SUV, including images of its updated interior, as well other key elements. Moreover, the company also announced that the refreshed MG ZS EV will soon roll out of its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat. The 2022 MG ZS EV will feature cosmetic updates to both it's exterior and interior, receive an updated features list, and will most likely also offer an extended range.

MG Motor has paid key attention to the rear seats, and now offers more creature comforts than before. Enhancing rear seat comfort is a centre armrest with individual cupholders, centre headrest for all three seats, and rear AC vents for additional comfort. Additionally, the 2022 MG ZS EV will also come with a refreshed interior, possibly taking design cues from the MG Astor. We also expect MG to equip the ZS EV with an updated instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, along with the introduction of a sunroof.

The major changes to the 2022 MG ZS EV are on the inside, as it now gets centre armrest, centre headrest, and rear AC vents.
On the outside, the MG ZS EV will feature minor but notable changes to alter its overall looks & appearance. Here, the heavily refreshed fascia gets a covered grille, similar to what we have seen on conventional EVs, with the charging socket moved to the left of the MG logo from behind the MG logo on the grille. The front bumper is updated and gets a sharper design with a wider central air dam and vertical intakes at both ends. In profile, the MG ZS EV will now sit on a pair of redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels. The rear also sees an update in the form of new tail-light design, and refreshed bumpers. Rest of the elements on the 2022 MG ZS EV, such as the LED headlamps, and LED DRLs are carried forward here as well.

On the outside, the MG ZS EV will feature minor but notable changes to alter its overall looks & appearance.
Although unconfirmed, the 2022 MG ZS EV could feature a bigger battery pack, and thus offering an extended range. However, if not, it will retain 44.5kWh battery pack that powers a permanent magnet synchronous motor and develops 141bhp and 353Nm of peak torque. At full charge, the MG ZS EV can travel about 419km before halting to juice up the battery. For this, the company is extending its 5-way charging ecosystem including free-of-cost AC fast-charger at residences, offices, portable in-car charging cable, DC superfast charging stations at dealerships, 24x7 charge-on-the-go facility and charging stations in satellite cities and tourist hubs.
