BMW M3 CS Revealed Globally

- The BMW M3 CS is the fastest and the most powerful M3 yet
- It gets a 30-litre in-line six engine, making 454 bhp
- Only 1,200 models will be manufactured globally
The 'M' division of the BMW is known for taking regular BMW sedans and plonking mad engines with race-spec tyres and suspension in order for them to go faster than necessary. And going in that direction, the company recently unveiled the mental M3 CS (CS standing for Club Sport). It will be a limited edition model and another peg in the evolution of the BMW M3 E30, which was the first M3 to be sold, way back in 1988. BMW says that in addition to being very fast, the M3 CS is practical as well.
(BMW M3 CS Dashboard)We would have taken BMW for its word, but we do not know about any practical car that has a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, in-line six engine that makes 454 bhp, 30 bhp more than the standard M3. The top-speed is an electronically controlled 280 kmph while the 0-100 kmph is dispatched in barely 3.9 seconds. The M3 CS is the fastest accelerating M3 yet! The engine comes paired to a 7-speed M Dual-Clutch Transmission unit. The engine gets two mono-scroll turbos, VALVETRONIC variable timing and fully variable camshaft timing, which not only delivers mad power but also keeps the fuel lasting longer. In fact, the BMW M3 CS has a claimed fuel efficiency of 12.04 kmpl.
(BMW M3 CS rear)The M3 CS gets forged aluminium axles and gets adaptive M suspension, light-alloy wheels, road-legal semi-slick Michelin Pilot Sport cup racing tyres and optional Michelin Sport road tyres. Inside, the BMW M3 CS gets two-tone leather upholstery, Harman Kardon surround sound system, auto climate control and aerodynamic bits built of carbon fibre re-inforced plastic (CFRP). BMW will be start delivering the cars from March 2018 and the company will only build 1,200 units.
